On Tuesday 22nd October the Year 7-10 students as well as VCAL students were involved in full day workshops.

The boys  workshop focused on the journey into manhood for the boys with our guest presenters, the team from Man Cave.  The Girl’s Talk workshop looked at some of the challenges that are unique to the female gender in today’s society.

Both sessions were emotionally challenging for students but efforts were made to bring in some fun too. We would like to thank staff members from Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital: Cath McDonald who ran a yoga/Relaxation session for all of the girls. There were a lot of giggles as we stretched and balanced an hour away.

Outreach Worker, Murray McGuiness attended the information session before supporting the boys during their workshop for the entire day.

If any students have anything they would like to talk through some more, EDMH Social Worker, Robyn Lyons is happy to come up to the school and meet with students one-on-one (ask Mrs Eastwood or Ms Tiddy to arrange if required).

We hope students took away some new knowledge and skills from the day that they will use in their day-to-day lives.

Thanks also go to Bendigo Bank for Sponsoring the Information Night.

On Monday 28th October the Year 10 Health girls attended the Women's Health Day Luncheon hosted by the Harrow Bush Nursing Centre. It was a fabulous event with guest speaker Hayley Dawson from The Rural Naturopath sharing information about all things women's health, self care and stress management. We learned a lot, and went home with some great goody bags!
