Student Engagement

What an exciting time for our Year 12’s (and students who have studied Unit 3 and 4 of a VCE subject). It’s the time of year where you get reward if you’ve put in the hard work. I had noticed a few stressed students coming up to exams, and it was pleasing to see some smiles after the English exam last Wednesday. Good luck for the rest of the exams.  You’re in good hands with our Chief Exam Supervisor Liz Kealy and Assistant Supervisor Alex King.

School Bus News - Adhoc Travelling - Students

All our bus runs have designated stopping points. These are the only places the bus can stop. However, if there are old bus stops on a run, these can be re-added to the run to help grandparents/relatives/family friends who occasionally may be looking after Edenhope College/ St Malachy students. For this to happen, plenty of notice given to the College. Signed notes also need to be provided with drop off addresses, dates, contacts, names of students and the bus run involved. The bus must not change from its current school route. Early notice (up to a week),  gives the college bus coordinator time to inform bus drivers, and to determine whether the proposed drop off meets safety standards.

Community

A big congratulations goes out to all involved with getting the local basketball competition up and running. It’s a real win for the community and has sparked a lot of interest. It takes a lot of volunteering to make it work. Let’s get behind it!!

Student Wellbeing

Student safety and wellbeing is always at the forefront of decisions within the school environment. Today I’ve included our Child Safe Policy for you to look at.  I will look to communicate other policies in future newsletters.
