Student Leadership

Congratulations to all of the students who presented a speech to the students in years 2-5 today. Each child spoke with passion and succesfully highlighted why they would be an outstanding student leader in 2019. The votes were all cast today and we look forward to sharing with you all the student leadership team at our presentation night on Monday 3rd December. 

2019 classes 

It is at this point of the year that we begin to plan for the 2019 classes and which teachers will take them. We spend a significant period of time planning classes and which students and teachers will work best together.

It's with great excitement that I announce that in 2019 we will have a second Multi Categorical support class at BWPS. We are in the process of advertising for a teacher and will inform you about who this will be asap. 

Traditionally on the first day of term in the new year parents and students have found out which class they will be in and who will be their teacher. Next year, we will be trialing a system whereby for the first week the students may change teachers and classes to ensure we get the right mix of staff and students. We will send out a finalised class list at the end of the first week of term. 

Next year, the students will be in composite classes: Kindergarten, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 rather than one year per class. The teachers have decided to move to this way of grouping students as we believe we will be able to better cater for the learning needs of all students. 

We look forward to seeing you all at our presentation evening as we highlight the outstanding achievements of our students next Monday 3rd December.

Due to Mrs O being away and swim school, there have been changes to the days some classes have library this week.

Tuesday - 3J, 5H, 3R, KB, KP

Wednesday - 1D, 6W, 4H, 4A

Thursday - CS, 5P, 1C, 2R, 2W

Canteen

As we head towards the end of the term the canteen will be reducing the amount of stock it orders. We will inform you if any items are no longer in stock and will be posting a range of end of term specials over the coming weeks. 

Please note: the canteen will not be open during week 10 (Monday 17th December to Wednesday 19th December).
