Homework

To support the connection between learning at home and learning at school, we will be sending home learning experiences that consolidate concepts and skills that have been happening in the classroom. This is an opportunity to engage with your child’s learning and build on their understanding. These learning experiences will be posted on Friday's through Seesaw  and will alternate between English and Spanish. This aspect of your child’s learning further engages them in our school values, with an emphasis on Responsibility and teachers will celebrate and acknowledge the collective responsibility that students have shown by submitting their learning. Teachers will approve and acknowledge student submissions through Seesaw. We appreciate your ongoing support with our Homework program by building routines and habits of the Newlands learner. 

Students are expected to read every night using a physical or digital texts. On the days that your child has Specialist, students are unable to change their readers and are to use Nessy or other digital texts.
