As the term races by, and the weather cools down, students are organising themselves to complete assessments before the end of Term 2. I am observing many students settling into better study habits, and goal setting, which will serve them well for the remainder of the year.
To draw attention, and build skills and capacity in wellbeing, on Wednesday the 22nd of June, we will hold a Wellbeing and Culture afternoon and evening at the College. Activities will include, mental and physical health presentations, talks, hands on activities, sports, a special dinner and movie night. We are fortunate to have Aboriginal Elder, Frank Davis to do a Welcome to Country and some small group presentations, also accomplished presenter Amy Coombes. Workshops will be presented by the Regional Men’s Health Initiative, Wheatbelt Mental Health Service and some local presenters. We always hope these activities spark wider and more meaningful conversations. Please ask your student what they learnt, liked and disliked, about the event and we will build better future events from the feedback.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or other staff if you have any questions or concerns about your students’ wellbeing. Stay safe.
