Year 10 Work Experience is happening next term in the week 22 – 26 August 2022.

All Year 10 students are expected to arrange a work experience placement of their choice during this week. There will be NO SCHEDULED classes for Year 10 during work experience week.

A major component of the program is for students to be active participants in organising the placement of their choice. It is also recognised that some students may need support in finding their placements. If a student wishes to access support, they are encouraged to visit the careers office at recess or lunchtime to discuss options.

The following documents and tasks need to be completed prior to a student attending their work experience placement:

1. The Work Experience Arrangement Form.

2. The Work Experience Travel and Accommodation Form.

3. Two Safe@Work Occupational Health and Safety Modules.

Year 10 students who are undertaking a VET Program as part of their studies are encouraged to undertake the Work Placement component of the VET Program during Work Experience Week.

The upcoming school holidays would be an ideal time for Year 10 students to speak with some businesses or other workplaces that interest them, organise a placement and have their forms completed by the employer. Any support you can provide in this process would be greatly appreciated.Forms with the Employer, Student and Parent/Carer sections completed should be returned to CSC Reception for final approval by the Principal by Monday 25th July.If you have any questions or there is any reason your child may not be able to participate in a Work Experience placement during these dates, please contact me as soon as possible on Ph: 5479 1111 or by email kerri.aitken@education.vic.gov.au
