STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS

Two of our very talented young singers, Bella and Ava had the wonderful opportunity of performing with their 89 year old Great Grandfather Harry Cottier in 'Casterton's Got Talent' on Sunday afternoon. It was a wonderful opportunity for the girls and to top it off Bella came away coming second place for her beautiful rendition of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'. This photo was on the front page of 'The Casterton News'.

GIRLS EDUCATION ACTION TEAM

This year, one of the grade 5/6 action teams is girls education and it's about building girls confidence.

Our goal as an action team is to boost girls' confidence and help them out, because no girl should feel left out.

Our goal is to help girls believe in themselves because they can do anything they put their mind to. Our action is to get some information about how girls feel in class from prep to year 4, because we feel that if we get information from how girls feel in the classrooms, we can help them feel comfortable to talk in front of people.

So far, we have already made a start! We had a very successful footy day with one very talented female football player, her name is Brooke Plumber and she came and encouraged the girls on footy day and made sure everyone had lots of fun. Everyone really enjoyed listening to her speech and it inspired everyone. This term one of our goals is to continue to make an impact and boost girls' confidence.

We are so excited to continue making an impact and helping people believe in themselves.

We have lots planned for next term.
