da Vinci Decathlon

Academic Competition 23-25 May

Last week, three teams from Year 5/6, Year 7 and Year 9 competed against schools from all over Adelaide in the da Vinci Decathlon at St Peter's Girl's School. We are very proud of our students who represented our College and displayed exemplary conduct.  They have been training weekly since Term 1.

We are delighted to announce the following results from our teams:

Year 7: 3rd in Art and Poetry and 3rd in Cartography.

Year 9: 2nd in the Legacy discipline, 3rd in English, 4th in Science and 5th in Mathematics.

Over all, our Year 9 team won equal 4th place with Concordia College, which is a monumental achievement!  They received consistently high scores across all ten disciplines. Congratulations to our Year 9 team: Mia, Leah, Oseremhen, Dineesh, John, Rexon, Caleb, and Matthew on fabulous results.

Matthew (Year 9) received a thunderous round of applause when he entertained over 150 competitors performing one of his piano pieces.

Well done to our Year 5/6 team from both our Brooklyn Park and South Plympton campuses: Leischen, Ava, Diana, Cara, Kingston, Dan, Ethan and Olin.

And to our Year 7 team: Jasper, Aaron, Romin,  Ziyang,  Ashley, Charlotte, Jordan and Amelia.

Thank you to Mrs Christine Blom and Mr Richard Heath for their support.
