EISM Athletics Championships Carnival

A super big congratulations to the dedicated and committed 63 students, coaches and staff who braved the chilly conditions at the EISM Athletics Championship Carnival on Thursday 25 May.

We had some outstanding individual and team results with many students achieving multiple podium finishes. We are proud of every student, every effort, and every achievement.

Thank you to those who jumped in to fill spots, helped as student officials and everyone who cheered their hearts out.

2023 Victorian All Schools Road Relays

Thanks to the initiative of Kalan L (Year 10) – a team of 4 senior boys represented Huntingtower at the Victorian All schools Road Relay event at Princes Park on Saturday 13 May.

It was an exciting first-time event for Huntingtower and the boys, Kalan, Nanda, Mingyao and Hunter did us proud. Each boy ran 3km before passing on an electronic timing tag to the next runner until all 4 boys had raced – totalling 12km.

Nanda started us off and ran a very fast first leg passing the timer onto Kalan with a super speedy 3km run of 9.31sec. Mingyao then tagged in third with a strong steady run and to finish Jagger fly home to end the relay with a team time of 43 minutes and 50 seconds.

An outstanding achievement with Huntingtower coming 7th out of 40 teams – 20 different schools. I am so very proud of them.

Thank you to Guy who guided and supported the boys in the marshalling area and to the awesome dads... Brandon, Haoyu and Tim (and Jagger) who came to support the boys throughout the morning.

Can’t wait to do this again next year!
