Making bread with Mr Lewis

“This week the 5/6s have been learning about how to make and grow a sourdough culture as part of our Chemistry focus this term. With special guest Steve, an experienced bread baker of more than 30 years, the students saw the culture growing and bread making process from start to finish. Many students even brought a container to take a sample of the culture home to continue and grow then own with the hope of baking some loaves soon! Of course, the tasting samples went down a treat as well. It was a great STEM session for the 5/6s, we can only look forward to the results of their baking in the future!
