Hello, from Carolyn.

Hello everyone,

2022 Annual report.

School Council recently approved our 2022 Annual Report. The Annual Report details the school improvement focus we had for 2022, highlights from the year and how our student learning results are tracking when compared to similar schools and state.

Our Annual Report is available here.

Smile Squad is coming to our school in June!

Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program.

Be a part of our outside Maker Space.

School Council has been discussing how to set up a maker space to provide another lunchtime activity for our students. Our current School Council president, Greg, has been getting things started by building a big tub to store the materials in. Our maker space will be a place for children to create and explore different ways to make things out of wood, plastic and other materials. This activity will take place one lunchtime a week for interested children to explore their creativity and learn problem solving skills while making their creations. It would be great if we could get this going next term.

To get started, we are on the lookout for:

Volunteers We are seeking people who may be willing to help supervise at lunchtime, and provide guidance on the creation of simple craft projects. A current Working with Children check will be required.

Materials and tools If you have any materials, like wood, plastic, offcuts or different materials that you think might be good for use in making things, we are more than happy to accept donations.

If you would like to talk about volunteering or donations for this exciting new initiative, contact: greg.stehle@monash.edu

warm regards,

Carolyn.
