Dear Families and Friends,

As you are aware I have beeen attending a conference sponsored by the Principals' Network in the Northern Territory this week. This conference presents a valuable opportunity for me to explore various communities in the top end and collaborate with NT Catholic Education in order to gain deeper insights into Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander matters within our sector. Given my previous four years of experience working in the NT, I have very much enjoyed visiting the Tiwi Islands and engaging with school communities in the nearby regions and reconnecting with the people. What a wonderful opportunity I have had. I look forward to being back at Sacred Heart and sharing my experience and all the stories of my travels.

SPORTING NEWS

What a brilliant achievement from our students at the recent 

SSV State Team Trials  Finalists

Congratulations to

AFL - Harry Hopgood & Spencer Buck successfully passed the first of 3 trials for the SSV state team and will proceed to the 3rd stage of selections.

Basketball - Milly Surkitt  successfully passed the first of 3 trials for the SSV state team and will proceed to the 3rd stage of selections on 5th & 6th of June.

STAFFING NEWS

We have welcomed back Mrs Jacqui Reed to our Japanese classes this week and for the rest of the term as Sensei Bunn is on Long Service leave travelling around Europe. Jacqui has settled back in so well, it's like she never left and its been lovely for the students to have  a familiar face teaching them Japanese.
