Congratulations to our Senior Girls Tennis Team of Tahlia T, Marli P, Gemma W and Asha M who competed in the State School Victoria Senior Girls Tennis Titles last Friday 12th May at Dendy Park Tennis Centre in Brighton.

The girls played three round robin matches during the day winning one and losing two.

 

Game 1: HC defeated Galen College Wangaratta 6 sets to Nil.

 

Game 2: HC lost to Lalor Secondary College 2 sets to 4.

 

Game 3: HC lost to Frankston 3 set 14 games to 3 sets 12 games.

 

Congratulations to the entire team who narrowly missed the semi-finals by the 2 games in the Frankston match, these results are even more impressive as the team departed Horsham College at 5am. 

 

A big thank you must go to Maree Thompson for giving up her day to travel to Melbourne with Jason and the girls.

 

Black Ranges Cross Country

 

On Thursday, the 11th of May we had a number of Horsham College Students Travel to Murtoa to compete in the Black Range Cross Country event.

 

We were lucky to have some fantastic results with Henry Overman (Under 15), Cara Tippet (Under 15) and Gemma Ryan (17-20) all coming 1st in their age groups and will now travel to Warrnambool to compete in the Greater Western Region on Monday the 29th of May.
