Premier’s Debating Challenge 

Our 2023 Debating Team:

Congratulations to Ava, Romeo, Koa, Bronte, Aila and Reese who will be representing Windang Public school as the ‘Windang Public Wordsmiths’ for 2023.

In Week 7, we hosted our very first debate, the 2nd Round of the Premier’s Debating Challenge. It was wonderful to finally have a live debate.

We hosted Balarang Public School, in what was a very closely contested debate with a strong opposition team.

The ‘Windang Public Wordsmiths’ were the Negative Team and successful in winning this debate.

They presented some strong rebuttals and arguments. 

Well done Koa, Romeo, Bronte and Ava, you were amazing!

Last week, Windang Public Wordsmiths went against Mr Terry PS. Unfortunately, adjudicator awarded Mt Terry as the winners. We received some wonderful feedback which will help us improve in our future debates. Every speaker did a fantastic job during planning and delivering their speeches.

On Thursday 29 June Windang Public Wordsmiths were victorious again in their third round of Premier's Debating Challenge against Shellharbour Public School.

Our speakers had an excellent range of arguments and rebuttals. They worked hard on extending their ideas and explaining their points thoroughly. Congratulations to all our speakers for taking on feedback and trying their absolute best. Well done to Ava, Romeo, Bronte and Aila on this debate. 

Windang Public Wordsmiths are looking forward to their Round 4 next term.
