Acting Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Happy Campers!

Our Year Four campers headed off this morning to enjoy the warmer climate of Queenscliff and engage in many enjoyable and purposeful learning experiences related to sea environments.

As off 3 o'clock this afternoon, the campers had already enjoyed a pizza making session, tested their archery skills, engaged in a picture trail and are now heading to the Marine Centre. A jam-packed first day on camp for all!

I am looking forward to joining our campers tomorrow for the day. Yay!

Car Parking

We are so fortunate now to have such great parking spaces around our school for pick-up and drop-off. For safety reasons, we ask that parents do not use the staff carpark for collecting or dropping children off. Thank you for your support on this matter.

Miners Rest K-6 Library

We are so very fortunate to have a passionate and very committed volunteer overseeing our school library. I would like to acknowledge the fabulous work that Dzintra Crocker is doing in our library to engage our children in a beautiful, stimulating learning space. Dzintra has used the library space to acknowledge and celebrate special days and occasions and has brought this space to life with displays and related books for our staff and students. Tomorrow is Dinosaur Day, according to our volunteer librarian, and the library is decked out to acknowledge this special day. The Foundation children are very excited to visit the library tomorrow in celebration of Dinosaur Day. Thank you Dzintra.

The Miners Rest K-6 Official Facebook Page

It's coming and it's exciting! I would like to acknowledge the positive support and proactive engagement of families at our school in making our new Facebook Page come to life. This new platform promises to reflect the school values in content and communication, to support and celebrate achievement and promote the great things that are happening across our K-6 site with our school community. Stay tuned!!!
