Maths On The Move with Grade 1

The Grade One Students Have Taken Their Maths Lessons To The Streets of Rowville!

Session 1 of Maths On The Move in Grade One

Last week, we walked to the park across the road from St Simon’s. As we walked, we looked for opportunities to measure different objects. We used our string to compare the length of real life objects in our environment. We used the words ‘longer,  shorter, same or equal’ many times today.

This was our first session of Maths On The Move with the Grade One students this year. The students worked in small groups alongside their teachers Ms Tarlinton and Mrs Scire-carratello, the School Maths Leader and our wonderful families to find opportunities to demonstrate their measuring skills. A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for Maths On The Move last week, the students were so excited to be learning alongside you.
