Staff Profile
Tanya Molloy
Let me introduce myself; my name is Tanya-lee Molloy, please call me Tanya. I am the new Career and Pathways Coordinator here at Scoresby Secondary College. If you would like to contact me, the best way is through careers@scoresbysc.vic.edu.au . I would love to hear from you and be able to support you and your young person in their transition through secondary school and onto tertiary studies and/or employment.
I have worked with the Department of Education for 7 years, from the primary sector through to secondary. My roles have been in Student Support, Careers, Transitions and Pathways. I have a passion for working alongside our young adults to assist them in being the best versions of themselves, giving them strategies to remove any barriers that come up along the way while highlighting the amazing qualities and transferrable skills they all have just waiting to be discovered. Watching them grow and succeed brings much personal and professional satisfaction.
My previous school had approximately 1600 students, that is a lot of names to remember. One of the things I was most looking forward to when transferring across to Scoresby is being able to work within a school that had a community feel which Scoresby Secondary College provides. The students have been a pleasure to meet, and the staff have been most welcoming; after 3 weeks I already feel like I am a part of the community here at Scoresby Secondary College.
My family consists of 4 teenagers, 3 dogs and 1 guinea pig. My husband and I have lived in the Knox region for over 20 years now and have been active members of the local scouts, football, netball, and basketball clubs. My weekends consist of children sports and being mum’s taxi service. When I do get spare time, I love to be in nature, reading, exploring new regions and travel.
