Arts Day

We are looking forward to hosting the inaugural Arts Day, ‘Wildest Dreams’. Students have been busy workshopping their House Dance and House Song for Arts Day. This week they will have their final rehearsals with choreographers, Jack and Jess, which will culminate in performances on next Wednesday.  Students have also signed up for workshops in the middle session of the day – Music Fest, Visual Art, or Theatre Sports.  

 

Parents and Carers are invited to watch from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Assembly Hall.

2023 Music Festival 31 May

The annual Clayfield College Music Festival will be held in the Middle session of Arts Day on Wednesday 31 May. Sessions will be categorised in the following instrument groups: Strings, Vocal, Band and Piano. House points will be awarded for participation and the winning House will be presented with the Clayfield College Music Festival Perpetual Trophy, donated by National Music Australia.

 

Please see the following schedule for venues and age eligibility:

 

Strings: MU1 - Years 3-12 - Performers (must be having private lessons) will be awarded 2 House points, Observers (string players only from Yrs 6-12) will be awarded 1 House point.

 

Vocal: Chapel - Years 6-12 - Performers (must be having private lessons) will be awarded 2 House points.

 

Band: MU2 - Years 5-12 - Performers (must be having private lessons) will be awarded 2 House points, Observers (band players only from Yrs 6-12) will be awarded 1 House point.

 

Piano: Assembly Hall - Years 2-12 - Performers (must be having private lessons) will be awarded 2 House points

 

Closing date to register your performance is Friday 26 May. No late entries will be accepted.

2023 Clayfield College Music Festival

College Musical

The first-round auditions for the college musical, ‘The Little Mermaid’, have been completed and we were impressed. Students from Years 4-9 have blown us away with their singing and acting skills. Thank you to all who attended.

Opus 2 Concert
