Foundation (Prep)

Hello and welcome to Prep C,

We hope everyone enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day last weekend. It has been another fun and busy week at school. We enjoyed joining the grade 1 and 2 students to attend the Indigenous Survival Technology incursion on Monday.

Literacy

This week we have continued talking about information texts. The students brainstormed facts about our school and wrote them in their own little school building. 

We have learnt another two new digraphs this week (two letters which make one sound). We worked together to create a fantastic list of words in which they could hear the 'sh' and 'ch' sounds.

Numeracy

We have continued to focus on Addition in mathematics. We have used concrete materials, dice and drawings to practise solving addition problems.

I'd like to thank all of our special visitors for coming to share a lesson with us today. It was wonderful for the students to be able to show off some of their work and join us for a fun craft activity.
