STEAM Education Week celebration

To celebrate Education Week's theme of "Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate", we held a STEAM afternoon with a variety of activities for students and their parents/carers to complete around the school.

These included: racing cars powered by magnets, building card towers, programming robots to complete a course without crashing, creating optical illusions using simple drawings and a straw as well as other engaging activities.

We finished the day with a spectacular launch of student-built rockets on our oval. Thank-you to all who joined us and we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Templestowe District cross country competition

Congratulations to all our students who competed in the Templestowe District cross country competition at Ruffey Lake Park on Tuesday.

It was a wet, slippery and hilly course which made the 2k and 3km races even tougher than usual.

We had a number of runners finish in the top 10 and they will now move on to race in the Manningham Division competition on June 6 at Yarra Glen Racecourse. Our 9/10 girls were particularly strong with 5 finishing in the top 10.

9/10 Girls - 2nd Gracie (3/4J), 3rd Anna (3/4J), 4th Abbey (3/4Z), 6th Atanaz (3/4M), 9th Darcie (3/4J)

9/10 Boys - 1st Ike (3/4), 2nd Charlie (3/4M)

11 Girls - 2nd Molly (5/6S), 7th Aisling (5/6SC)

Good luck to you all in the next round.
