Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
The transition from preschool/Day Care to the formal school years can be difficult for some children. Our OSHC programs provides an opportunity for children to play, learn and build friendships with their peers. Our educators document, observe and plan for learning for all children in their care. These programs help to support children’s holistic learning, wellbeing and development. It is a great opportunity for children to transition from school to home.
Benefits of attending Outside School Hours Program for school aged children:
- time to relax, play and have fun
- a place to develop friendships and learn how to relate to others
- opportunities to try new things, visit new places and learn new life skills
- a range of activities for your child to choose from
- somewhere that your child is valued and accepted just as they are.
(Department of Education, Children and Young People)
At the centre of our OSHC program is student needs, abilities and interests. Educators are also guided by the National Framework, My Time, Our Place. You can find a link to the full document here.
Have you got a child who is a fussy eater at home?
As a parent it can be difficult to help your child eat healthy food when they start to refuse or pick what they want to eat. This can sometimes turn into frustration and begin to form concerns for the health of your child. See the documents below for some tips on how to help introduce new foods and manage fussy eaters.
