Attendance

Attendance is one of our priorities at JFC this term. We recognise that every day counts, and when students are away from school it disconnects them from their learning and peers.

All parents/guardians will be receiving a daily text message at 11am if their child is absent in the morning. Please contact the Attendance Line to update your childs attendance.

If your child is meant to be at school and is instead truant, please speak with them and contact the school so that we can get together a student support group to support child in this space.

SWPBS- School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports

The SWPBS team at JFC continues to work on the implementation of SWPBS. In the near future you will see new signage around the college outlining Behavioural expectations. All staff have completed professional learning around the use of these expectations in the classroom. Year level assemblies are occurring every fortnight and rewards are also distributed to students in line with these expectations (Be respectful, Be commited, Aim to excel and Aim to improve).

Restorative Practices

Restorative Practices is a tool used to help students unpack conflict, develop empathy and brainstorm ways to move forward. At JFC this is a tool we use to support students to recognise and understand their part in this. We would like the opportunity to empower families with this strategy so that we can all work together to support the students of our community.
