R U OK? DAY

Thursday 9 September

There were BIG SMILES from students and staff supporting R U OK? Day by wearing a splash of yellow.

R U OK? Day where people are encouraged to really take the time to check in with friends and family and ask the question: R U OK?

At LHS, to acknowledge and support R U OK? Day from home, we asked students and staff take some time to check in with their friends and family and then set aside the afternoon as 'SCREEN FREE TIME’ for some important self care.

Some self care suggestions included; taking a walk, reading a book, baking a cake, listening to music, gardening and .anything that allowed everyone to relax and recuperate from the rigours of remote learning!

A reminder for parents/carers and students, our Student Wellbeing Team are always available for support.

Please check in with one of them at any stage, they are happy to help and can be contacted by email or a call to the school.

Positive Vibes Video

‘We’re checking in to make sure you’re ok’

A 'Positive Vibes' video message from the LHS staff to all our amazing students for R U OK? Day.

Remember, just because we can't see you in person, we are all still here for you.

A big THANK YOU to the amazing Ms Cumming for her work putting together the POSITIVE VIBES video.
