Pastoral Care

Welcome to Term Four. There will no doubt be a few challenges as we navigate our way through this hybrid model. Our staff are well prepared, and I have every confidence our students will manage with the same positivity and determination they have shown throughout the entire pandemic. We look forward to welcoming all students back full time on Tuesday 26 October. Please let us know if there is any support your family requires during this time. We cannot thank our amazing College families enough, working in partnership to support our students in these challenging times has been critical.

Please note, this is the key information that we shared with students in assembly on Wednesday:

General Information

  • Sadly, no camps or excursions can take place at this time.
  • Sport both indoors and outdoors can occur at school. Students are welcome to use the Sports Centre, oval and hockey pitch at recess or lunchtime. We are still waiting on a date for community sport to resume.
  • Year 7 immunisations will still take place on13 October.
  • Speech Day will be streamed to all families on Friday 22 October.

Covid

  • Students have been reminded about the importance of wearing their face mask correctly. We are all responsible for the health and safety of each other. Face masks must be worn both indoors and outdoors. Students should bring at least two masks with them each day.
  • Social distancing of 1.5m and good hygiene remain important considerations.
  • Doors and windows will be kept open in classrooms to ensure adequate ventilation. Students will need to dress appropriately for days that may be a little cool!

Uniform

  • Students may begin Term Four in either their winter or summer uniform. All students will be required to be in summer uniform by Monday 18 October.
  • Hats must be worn in Term 4.

We are so fortunate that most students wear their uniform with pride. Sadly, however, it only takes a handful of students to do the wrong thing that then reflects poorly on everyone. I have asked a number of senior girls this week to attend to the length of their school dress and to remove jewellery. Could I ask all families to support the College in maintaining the high uniform standards we have come to expect from all students. Girls will be reminded of the following:

  • The summer dress but sit no higher than mid-knee with the school jumper on. Socks must sit at mid-calf.
  • One pair of plain studs or sleepers only in the ear lobe.
  • Make up or nail polish is not to be worn to school apart from colourless moisturiser or colourless sunscreen.
  • No jewellery is permitted.
  • Hair that is below shoulder length must be tied back.
  • School ribbons must be navy, white, maroon or gold.
  • Hats must be worn in Term One and Term Four.

These are the options for the boy’s summer uniform. Socks must sit at mid-calf.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our school uniform, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
