Endeavour House News

We made it! Term Three is complete and we are looking forward to Term Four. We have thrived through another term in boarding. It’s not easy, but these lovely young people persist with the challenges of boarding and manage all the intricacies of boarding life.

Congratulations to all our winter sport players, champions or not, I think you are fabulous to get there, do something active and be part of a team. That makes you a winner in my mind. Sport is not everyone’s thing and many Endeavour girls do lots of amazing activities to keep them active and part of an active community.  We have commitments within Guides, Martial Arts, Dungeons and Dragons, Debating and hopefully many more to come next term. It’s important for our boarders to be active and do things outside of their school-work.

With this in mind, next term we will return to one compulsory recreation activity per weekend. We often do this in Term One and Four. There seems to be less sporting commitments and we think our students need some encouragement to get out and about. There will be many interesting activities on offer and we would like our students to attend at least one these each weekend.

The Year Eights completed woodwork with Mr Colgate this term and finished a great little shelf for their desk. Thank you to Mr Colgate for his time and effort with our boarders.

On Sunday Mrs Fabulous Freeman brought in a calligraphy set and taught the girls some tips and tricks. Thank you Amber. On Thursday we had a pizza night at the beach, this was the reward from winning Boarding’s Got Talent. It is lovely way to end the term.

No September birthdays for Endeavour, after August I think our bodies needed a rest from the constant cake eating.

I wish you all a restful holiday with your family and look forward to our final term in Endeavour for the year.
