From the Boarding Captains

It’s sad to see that this year is coming to an end for us Year Twelves. Our final weeks of schooling almost over, exams starting and future life beginning. There is a rush within the Year Twelves. It’s crazy to think that we’ve spent our last six years here and we are grateful for the opportunities we’ve been given. Boarding has been our home away from home, but also a place where we have formed some lifelong friendships and skills. Through all the good times and the bad, at boarding, we still come out stronger than ever and are appreciative of all the staff and people who have helped us through our journey; we wouldn’t have been able to do it without them. Especially throughout this year, us year Twelves couldn’t have done it without the help of Ms Bromhead and Mr Rice so, thankyou.

Last Thursday afternoon, the Breaksea girls organised a formal farewell dinner for the Year Twelve girls. Everyone dressed up and the house was decorated with gold and black decorations and a red carpet leading in, where every girl strutted their stuff upon entrance. We sat down for array of Italian foods, prepared by Chef Tyler Sibert and enjoyed one of the final evenings where the whole house was together. All the Breaksea staff joined the girls for the night and it was a fun night enjoyed by all and a great memory to cherish in our future years. We would like to say a massive thankyou to Ms Bromhead, the rest of the Breaksea staff and all the Year Eleven and Ten girls for organising the night and supporting and caring for us girls throughout our boarding journey.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holidays and all the best for the rest of the year.
