Year 10 Contemporary Art
Laura's Class
Year 10 Contemporary Art students created drawings, paintings and digital art based on one colour due to its associated meaning that resonated with them. They applied different ranges of the one colour such as Tints (adding white or pressing lighter) which lightens a colour and adding Tone (darkening a colour or pressing the colour pencil in a heavier way). Lastly, the students used various websites and applications to display their artwork virtually which in their opinion, may have been the best part of the task! The students thoroughly enjoyed this task during remote learning and should be commended for their efforts.
All the photos above are of student's original artwork that has been transformed into a mural. The students have also displayed their artwork virtually in various interiors which you will have access to- this was mentioned in the previous email.
Year 10 Contemporary Art - Monochrome Artwork
Adrienne's Class
Congratulations to all Year 10 Contemporary Art students for great focus and persistence during these challenging times. Students have produced fantastic individual artworks that show their skills in the materials they have had available at home. Students have fully participated in Google Breakout rooms to showcase their creative thinking and given feedback to their peers. I have received many outstanding FLIPGRID videos evaluating their own work. Your efforts have made me proud of your achievements.
To Art/Studio Art and VCD students well done! - Enjoy your holidays!

Students were required to draw /paint a picture based on one colour and it's meaning. Different ranges of the one colour were used. This was achieved by using tints (adding white or pressing lighter) and adding tone (darkening a colour or pressing the colour pencil in a heavier way).
Year 11 Studio Art
As part of their Photography unit, the year 11 Studio Art students have been learning to edit their photography to enhance the overall composition or change the mood/atmosphere completely.
Below are some examples of student work.
Year 11 Work Related Skills
Year 11 WRS Have been working on a country fact poster this week. They had to create a poster on Canva to demonstrate how they can present their chosen country when they get back to school next term. They will also cook a chosen recipe from their chosen country. I’m very proud to work with 11 WRS class during this difficult time, they have been working so hard this term.
