The Gospel Values
At Monivae we mention the importance of “living the gospel values” many times over a student’s time with us. It does become apparent, however, that there are times both students, new staff, and families are unfamiliar with what we mean.
As a reminder of what we mean when we talk about the gospel values, I have added a list below.
Our entire Monivae community is encouraged to take the time to read these values and contemplate where you can make a difference in your day-to-day operations by living these values.
These values are always a good reminder on how to live a life that we strive for, but these values are as important as ever at a time when our community is apart. Everyone has the opportunity to reach out to others and are encouraged to do so.
September 1 marked the start of the Season of Creation, and as mentioned in our last newsletter, the Monivae Community sent their own images in to be included in an online reflection celebrating the lovely part of the world we live in. We are encouraged to do our bit for the environment that exists around us, as Stewardship of the Earth is an important part of our Catholic social teaching.

As a community we also recognised the importance of all the fathers (and father figures) that mean the world to us. A short reflection was shared to the staff and students online, which you can watch here if you would like to.
Finally, our big celebration for the term, Mission Fair Day, has had to be postponed. This is such a shame, as it not only brings us together as a school community, but it also shows us how important we are to others. This is normally our biggest fundraising day of the year, with the MSC Missions Office gaining a lot of financial support from us as a result.
