Prep
Welcome Back!
It has been so nice catching up and hearing about all the things the preps got up to over the break. Lots of picnics, visits to the park and beach as well as bike rides and keeping busy at home with Lego, cooking and being crafty.
Literacy
The Preps have jumped straight back in to remote learning. They are so close to finishing the InitiaLit program. Miss Bridget has been spending some time each day meeting 1:1 with each of the preps to checkin with their literacy skills. She is very pleased to say that the preps have been absolutely nailing it! It seems that they have remembered even more than Miss Bridget. Maybe she is still on holidays?
Maths
This week we have started our new unit on sharing (division). I was really impressed to see that the Preps already knew lots about this topic and knew what was fair and unfair. They have been exploring how to make groups even and understand that we can often divide numbers in different ways. Take a look at what they have come up with.
Tomorrow we will be having a Pirate themed wellbeing day. You are more than welcome to come dressed as a pirate to our morning meet :)
The Preps will be returning to school on Monday 18th October on a part-time basis. This means that they will be at school Monday - Wednesday and work remotely on Thursday - Friday.
