Funded 3 year old 

Kindergarten Program-2022

Registrations for our Funded 3 year old Kindergarten Program have now been completed for our attending families.  We are currently contacting families on our waitlist, for second round offers. 

On enrolling your child at Haven you have already secured  a place within our funded 3 and 4 year old program. This allows you the security to know that your child will move their way up through each of our classrooms.

 

Our program is based on;

  1. Children learn through play in both their learning experiences and their environment.
  2. Daily routines and meaningful experiences enhance children’s learning.
  3. Children develop every day in five main areas of development: health and physical development, social and emotional development, language development and communication, approaches to learning, and cognition and general knowledge.
  4. A learning environment that supports language development, confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills.
  5. Our indoor and outdoor program allows the children opportunities for exploration and discovery to encourage children to love learning.
  6. Ongoing observations are completed to support the children's strengths, needs and interests of individual children.
  7. Positive reinforcement and guidance are necessary for building relationships with children.
  8. Parent partnerships are a key ingredient to Early Years Learning and School success.

So how does the program work

  • The Forest Room operates 52 weeks a year. This means we continue to run during term breaks.  We do however have a more flexible routine over this break as we have a holiday program in place.
  • We have one Early Childhood  Teacher in this class, working over the 5 days a week.
  • We continue to have our indoor/outdoor program, but the day is scheduled the same as school.
  • Our classroom is a 36 place environment.
  • The importance of children having access to a funded program is of the upmost importance.  It means that their transition to our Field Classroom - 4 year old Funded Kindergarten Program,  will be smoother.
  • All additional extracurricular or excursion's are paid for through the program.
  • Once you have registered for our funded program, we receive funding for your child. This funding goes into our program. This payment is made to our service directly.  You are just paying your normal gap fee.
