Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,

LATEST UPDATE

Wonderful news, the restrictions for Greater Shepparton will lift at midnight tonight. This will mean that Foundation -Grade 2 students will return to Onsite Learning tomorrow. Grade 3-6 will continue to learn remotely for the rest of the term. Onsite supervision will be provided for those students who are already booked.

REMOTE LEARNING PACKS

Foundation, Grade 1 & Grade 2 will need to return all remote learning items tomorrow.

These include:

  • Laptop/iPad
  • Charger
  • Headphones
  • Laptop Case (Grade 2s)
  • Completed Learning
  • Learning Workbook
  • Pencil case
  • Book Box
  • Just Right Books

END TERM

It is hard to believe but school holidays commence this Friday, the 17th at 2pm. Please note if your child is in Onsite Supervision, they will need to be collected at 2pm.  Hopefully, all students will return to school on Monday 4th October. I will continue to update you via email as any update comes to hand.

Grade 3 -6 students are to keep their laptops at home for the holidays however teachers request that they are packed with the charger and headphones in their school bags. We firmly believe the students have had enough screen time and deserve a rest.

END TERM ASSEMBLY

Teachers have put together a YouTube clip celebrating the learning for the term. We will SMS the link to you so can  access it on Friday.

VIRTUAL MAGIC SHOW THURSDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER

Tomorrow is the virtual magic show for the children to enjoy. This is via Zoom; you will find the Zoom link on the flier and the materials students require for the workshop after the show. It is recommended you arrive (By clicking on the Zoom link) 10 minutes before the show starts to ensure your connection is strong. This gives you a chance to test your microphone and your speaker system.

For the workshop all children require cotton buds, scissors, and sticky tape.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE

We have reached the end of a challenging term. Congratulations to all our students, whilst I haven’t seen many of them in person, I have been very keen to keep in touch with how they are going. On a weekly basis we have discussed everyone’s wellbeing, attendance, and learning.

My compliments to all our families, you have done a wonderful job supporting your children with their learning. Having a daughter who has three children at home, I am very aware of the challenges it involves.

To our teachers, thank you so much! Always, you have the students at the centre of your thoughts and actions. The fact that you volunteer to come in and do supervision whilst teaching online is much appreciated.

Have a fantastic holiday with your family and a well-earned rest.

Regards Heather
