Year 12 HSC students have now completed their exams and the majority of students have returned their library and textbooks, however we are still waiting on some students to return their books. I urge these students to do so as soon as possible as they need to have their sign out sheet completed and those outstanding books, once returned, need to be sanitised, repaired and reallocated to the 2021 Year 12 students. If there is an issue in locating any of the books please see Resource Centre staff so that the issue is quickly resolved.

The Resource Centre participated in Armistice Day, also known as Remembrance Day, on the 11th November with a display designed to honour and commemorate the loss of lives from all wars and conflicts.

The two Homegroups, Oodgeroo 3 and Oodgeroo 6, who are based in the Resource Centre, were led by Mrs Green in a reverent reflection and prayer; a minute’s silence was observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation.

The NAIDOC week display of print material and artefacts has been extended for a further week as many members of the College community are still visiting the Resource Centre to see the different items that have been brought out as part of the celebrations.

A display of iPod speakers that operate through the natural amplification of sound, and created by the Year 10 Design and Technology class, has also been hosted by the Resource Centre. We thank them for sharing their creations with us so that the College community has the opportunity to view their work.

I would also like to remind all students that they are able to borrow books and magazines for the end of year holidays to enjoy and there is no limit on the number of items that may be borrowed by each student.
