Storykids interviews kids about their original stories and then bring them to life with amazing actors, music and sound. Each episode goes for around 10 minutes and is released on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. The first season featured artists such as Lucy Durack, Don Hany, Michala Banas, Virginia Gay, Fiona Choi, Rob Mills, Mark Coles Smith and others.
They already have some incredible Australian personalities working on Season 2 and they have extended the amount of episodes - but they are looking for more diverse stories!
Storykids have three stories from three Indigenous kids and some members of other minority groups so far. They would like to be able to include another episode from the asylum seeker community and from other diverse experiences and backgrounds.
The only requirement for stories is that they're about 500 words long. The listeners for the podcasts are mostly primary school aged children.
Storykids also interviews kids via zoom with a list of general questions that they supply first.
