NAIDOC Week

Always was, Always Will Be

We have had an exciting start to NAIDOC week beginning with our NAIDOC assembly and Flag Raising on Monday morning. Thank you to Steph Cameron who Welcomed us to Country.

Stage 1 have participated in a day full of fun cultural activities. Mrs Jensen taught the students how to make their own story pebbles out of clay, using Aboriginal Symbols. The class teachers facilitated Aboriginal games outside and Mrs Field had fun Kamilaroi Language activities for the students. Stage 2 and 3 will enjoy a cultural day later in the week and we look forward to sharing photos of their activities then.

SCHOOL START DATE 2021

Students in Year 1 - Years 6 will start school on Monday 1 February 2021.

Kindergarten will start school on Thursday 4 February 2021.

Canteen

At this stage, the canteen will still be closed until Monday. We will notify parents when it is back in action.

Uniform Shop

The uniform shop has requested that if you know you will need uniforms for next year, it is a good idea to get in before school finishes this year. Due to COVID they can't have many people in the shop and it gets very hectic during their January opening times and there could be long waits. The uniform shop also caters for St Mary's so they get very busy!
