Junior School News

Welcome back to term 4!

We hope you managed a break from your screens and that the students are ready for their final term in Year 7 and 8. We were pleased to see the return of half of the Junior School this week. It was nice to see the students excited to see each other and greeting each other in a COVID-safe way. Despite many students having forgotten where their locker was located and their combination code, they have settled back into the school routine very well.

We are looking forward to the Year 8 students returning to school on Monday 26 October.

For the next eight weeks we welcome Education Support staff member Cathy Grieve to the Junior School. Cathy will be providing additional support to Year 7 English classes with the focus on spelling and grammar.

Lunchtime Kahoot

This fortnight we have had another two successful lunchtime Kahoots.

Taylor Swift was the subject on Tuesday 6 October. Jackson House did a clean sweep. Congratulations to Yolanda Kang, followed by Aashi Sharma, then Olivia Ayyuce.

On Tuesday 13 October the theme was '2019-2020 Pop Songs'. Well-done to Tillie Renkin-Onwuji ( Mackellar) on winning the Kahoot, followed by  Ananya Pradhan (Jackson) in 2nd place and Olivia Ayyuce (Jackson) in 3rd place.

The Masked Teacher - Round 2

Well done to many students in Year 7 who had a guess. This was certainly more challenging than the first round. The seven masked, mischief-making educators were:

Teacher 1 - Mrs Parker

Teacher 2 - Ms Holman

Teacher 3 - Ms Bowers

Teacher 4 - Ms Bendal

Teacher 5 - Mrs Reinhardt

Teacher 6 - Mr Hughes

Teacher 7 - Mrs Harvey

Teachers revealed. Mystery solved. Case closed.
