Tertiary Study Preferences

It’s been a busy time for Year 12 students that are applying for tertiary course study in 2021. VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) timely applications closed at the end of September and students that have experienced disadvantage have now finalised their applications for Special Consideration (SEAS) in VTAC. Students are eligible to apply for special consideration if they have experienced disadvantage on the grounds of financial, medical, disability or other difficult circumstances. Students are able to continue to change their course preferences through until course preferences close on 4 January 2021.

This allows students the opportunity to finalise their preferences after their VCE results and ATAR are released on 30 December. 94% of our class of 2020 have indicated they intend to go on to tertiary study next year.

First round offers will be made on 14 January 2021.

Year 9 Career Counselling

This week Year 9 students are participating in online Morrisby Career Profile Interviews. Last term year 9 students completed an online assessment that included aptitude, personality and work preference questions.

This week they have had the opportunity to unpack the results of that assessment with a qualified Careers Practitioner. Through the online Morrisby profile, students will gain insight into their abilities, personality and ambition. The profile provides suggestions on subjects to study in VCE and tertiary study and career pathway options. Students have a Morrisby login for life, which means they can review their profile results well into the future.
