October - Month of the Rosary

The Rosary refers to a set of prayers used within the Catholic Church beads used to count the prayers.

The prayers that compose the Rosary are arranged in sets of ten Hail Marys, called decades. Each decade begins with the  Lord's Prayer and is followed by one Glory Be. Rosary beads are an aid towards saying these prayers in the proper sequence.

The Rosary is considered one of the most important prayers within the Catholic Church. Throughout the Catholic Church's history, the Rosary has remained unchanged in its significance and format.

The 3/4 students will be involved in the creation of a Rosary prayer space. When they have completed this project we will share some of the images with everyone.

Sunday Masses

While we are still unable to attend mass in large numbers, there are some options available. St. Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne have announced that the 11am Sunday Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral will continue to be televised free to air on C31 as well as live streamed on their website and YouTube channel

The Oblate of Mary Immaculate are also continuing to serve their community during this time. Masses and Prayer Services are live-streamed from many of their churches/seminaries to cater for their communities.

Sacrament Celebrations

At this point in time the information from the Archdiocese of Melbourne is that Sacramental celebrations are still postponed. We will of course keep you updated regarding any information pertaining to the celebration of Sacraments for the students.

It has been wonderful to see all of our beautiful students and their smiling faces back at school. Have a great week.
