Dear Families
We are mid way through a short week at SJV. This Friday of course is a Public Holiday in recognition of the AFL Grand Final to be played this Saturday evening in Queensland!! Who would have thought?
To our Cats and Tigers supporters and all those who love AFL enjoy the festivities and spectacle!
A reminder that our Footy Colour Day will take place tomorrow!!
It's a strange week because traditionally this week (for many past years) we would have been putting together the final touches to our Parish Fete! Not to despair! We are still having a Raffle with some super prizes (see prizes below). Thank you to the families who have been able to purchase raffle tickets. You have time to do so (if you able- no pressure) as the raffle is drawn on November 22nd! Please send back tickets with your eldest child.

Please note we fully understand should families not be able to buy raffle tickets. Please send the raffle book back to school.
It's two weeks since our students all returned to SJV! And once again I say THANK YOU for your amazing support!! Your children have truly settled in well to school life even within the necessary confines! They are enjoying being with their friends and teachers and have immersed themselves well in their learning. The children's efforts and resilience to return so well into SJV speaks volumes! Your positive encouragement of your children and the support you offer teachers and leadership certainly reiterates the notion that it is great to be part of the SJV family!!!
Of course we know that it's not plain sailing for all students. We are mindful that some families are going through challenging times so if you have any concerns or we can assist please contact us.
As a staff we will continue across the remaining weeks of term, to be focussed on progressing your children in their Literacy and Numeracy.
Prep Orientation and Parent Information Session
Based on decisions and advice given to us by the Government and CECV, we know that It will NOT be possible to have ALL our 2021 Preps to come onsite at the one time. We are however currently exploring possibilities to assist our 2021 prep students to transition well into SJV.
We are in contact with Kinders and will let you know more information in the next couple of weeks. In relation to a Prep 2021 Parent Information session(s), these will have to be conducted online. We will send an email home detailing date(s) and times and explaining the process. If you have any concerns do not hesitate to contact us.
Year 6 Graduation
We are looking at various possibilities to ensure that our Year 6 students can celebrate the end of their Primary school days with a memorable Graduation. Stay tuned! We will be in touch with details.

Canteen re opened today!!
Welcome back to Teresa in our Canteen!! The Canteen will open Wednesday to Friday BUT will only open for ordered Lunches via CDF pay. There is no over the canteen sales; no icypole icecream or lolly sales. Students will not be able to line up for any incidental foods until further notice.
No sharing of food. No Birthday treats
Students are unable to share food. Please do not bring in any birthday treats to share with students from the class or level until further notice.
Traffic Safety
Parents/ Carers dropping off /picking up their child need to be considerate , patient and MINDFUL of everyone’s safety
