Book Week

They came … character after character tumbling out of the pages of books to pose, parade, role play and tell us about themselves. Creativity and imagination brought the Gym alive and thanks go to all the children, families and teachers for the background involvement that made the morning a joyful and memorable experience for us all.
I intend to let the pictures taken by Mrs Hansen give glimpses of the activity. One person, however, must have a comment noted for all to see … for Mr Cheesman, this was a First. He acknowledged that he was not in costume … but promised he would be next year. I’m sure someone will remind him of that when the time draws near!
Today’s classes chosen as overall winners for prizes were Reception and Year 3.
Well done, all of you.
Runner-up classes were Years 2 and Year 5.
Teachers deserve congratulations, too, with Mrs Crowe, for Year 2, and Mrs Lesley for
Year 6 chosen as winners.
Activities were run throughout the day with groups of children, ranging from Rec to Year 6, participating in a range of activities.
Thank you to each and every parent and caregiver who supported the children during Book Week .
