HARVEY’S HIGHLIGHTS! WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING AT SPS?
FRIDAY FUNDAY
Every Friday throughout Term 4 we are going to have a theme on a Friday for some fun. We are trying to make every Friday a bit of extra fun for the students to finish off the year and make it memorable, like footy day last week!
They won't all be dress up days they will just have something fun about them. If it is a dress up day we will give you notice. We will try to stick to things you already have so you do not need to go and buy anything - it is just to have a bit of fun.
The next two Friday themes are…..
FRIDAY 30TH OCTOBER – Crazy Sock Day. Students can wear their favourite socks, different colour socks or decorate a pair and go crazy with their socks.
FRIDAY 6TH NOVEMBER - Wear your favourite book character outfit or bring your favourite book to share day. Students will be able to share their favourite books in the classroom and why it is their favourite.
I will send out what we are doing in the newsletter every fortnight so keep an eye out for what is coming up next.
REMARKABLE READING
Don’t forget to bring in your reading diaries to show us where you are up to in your reading journey. We are continuing to try and take photos of the students who have reached 100, 200 and even 300 nights. I will add more photos as they are taken.

Don’t forget about our Numeracy Ninja Challenge. We will have a NUMERACY NINJA party in Term 4. You can join this party in two ways. One is to win the Number Fact Challenge you are working on as shown below. The other is to be in the TOP TEN of Mathletics at the end of the term and random chosen weeks. Congratulations to the people listed in our above chart who already have a ticket to the Numeracy Ninja Party. Keep working on your Number Facts!
Our Ninja Challenge week is NEXT WEEK so make sure you are practicing your Ninja level.
SPS SUSTAINABILITY
Now we are back at school we are working with our SEEC team to educate everyone about how they can help the environment. Each week our leaders, Chad and Tamieka, will be giving us a tip to remind us what we can do at home and at school to look after our environment. Every Tuesday we will be checking which class has the most nude food and they will receive a certificate.
THIS WEEKS SUSTAINABILITY TIP IS……
Did you know you could Save water by turning the tap off while you are brushing your teeth. Any way you can save water will help our environment.
