Course Counselling
Last week Year 10 students participated in their course counselling session for their 2023 pathway. The evening was greatly attended and there was a buzz in the room as students discussed their pathways and future career options. If you were unable to attend the evening and your Year 10 student is attending Kurnai University Campus in 2023, please contact the Careers Team at the University Campus on 5132 3800 to arrange an appointment to complete the counselling and course enrolment.
Year 10 Melbourne Experience Camp
Electronic consent is now open on Compass for the Year 10 Melbourne Experience Camp, which runs from Monday 17th October until Thursday 20th October. Students will spend 4 days / 3 nights, staying at The Hotel Claremont South Yarra, exploring Melbourne and surrounds. Students will meet at the Morwell Train Station on Monday 17th October , ready to depart at 8am, and will return to Morwell Train Station on Thursday 20th October at 4.45pm. Activities will include the Eureka Skydeck, ArtVo, King Pin Bowling and Laser Tag, Old Melbourne Gaol, Ice Skating, Harry Potter & the Cursed Child theatre performance, Hardrock Climbing & I-Fly indoor skydiving. Breakfast and dinner will be supplied each day (excluding final day), students will be given money each day to purchase their own lunch and to buy breakfast on Thursday morning. Students may bring their own spending money. Myki cards with enough funds for travelling around the CBD to and from activities will be supplied, students will travel via train, tram, or bus whilst in the city.
Note: I-Fly indoor skydiving is a high-risk activity parents/guardians must watch a 4 minute video and fill in an electronic consent form prior to their student's participation. This camp is limited to the first 30 students from each campus. Any questions, queries or concerns please contact the Year 10 Team Leader - Todd Miller 5132 3700.
PLEASE NOTE: Consent closes Friday 9th September, but our places are filling fast! Once capacity is reached a waiting list will be taken.
Team Time - Sex Education and Respectful Relationships
Beginning next week all Year 10 students will commence our program on Sex Education and Respectful Relationships. All students are expected to participate in these programs in accordance with the Victorian Curriculum.
