Hello everyone!

During the next couple of weeks students will complete their CATs in all classes.  This is a time to for students to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have learned during the term.  Learning Behaviour Updates will be made available prior to the Parent/Teacher Conversations to be held in the final week of term.

Parent/Teacher Conversations are scheduled for Thursday, September 15th, 3.30pm to 7pm and Friday, September 16th,10am to 1pm.  Parents and carers will be able to book an appointment via Compass from 3pm on Monday 5th September.

We have many activities planned for the remainder of Term 3 including the Year 7 Thinking Championships, Medieval Day and a School Assembly.  Our House Cup is up for grabs for the House earning the most points for participating in the Medieval Day activities.  Students are encouraged to dress in Medieval costumes or in their House colours.

Uniform Reminder

Recently some students have been wearing grey/black track suit pants instead of the uniform colour of blue.  Blue pants are available in our uniform shop, Lowes, in Mid Valley Shopping Centre.  If you would like support with the uniform, please contact the relevant Team Leader.  All students are required to be in full uniform.

Centre for Multicultural Youth Visit

The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) is working with our campus to provide fun activities at lunch times and to discuss ways they can support students of different cultural backgrounds. Culture Club will begin in term 4.

The events are open to all students.  I encourage everyone to participate in at least one of the sessions.  It is a wonderful way to get to know students with whom you don’t usually spend time and it is also a way to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of people’s differences.

On Friday, August 26th, CMY and Reclink treated our students to painting and spike ball in the courtyard.
