Romeo & Juliet Incursion

This week, students in Year 9 and 10 who are studying Shakespeare (as well as students from the International Language Centre) enjoyed a performance of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by Eagles’ Nest Theatre Company here at Macleod College. 

The students enjoyed an abridged version of the play and then a workshop with the actors. During the workshop, students were able to ask the actors questions and explore the challenges directors face when staging different interpretations of the play. 

We hope that this was a valuable session in order to prepare students for their analytical responses to ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in Year 9 and ‘Macbeth’ in Year 10 this term.
