Music of the Silver Screen

Excitement has been building up to our Music of the Silver Screen theme concert. With all of us being separated and unable to make music together for such a long period of time, we decided that the best thing we could do at music camp this year would be to bring everyone together. Super Symphony was born, and tonight we will be able to show off the great work that our students have been doing. Inspired by ABC Classic FM’s recent Top 100 Movie Themes, we will be performing the top 10 movie themes of all time.

Spring Arts Gala

Also coming up is the Spring Arts Gala on the 20th October which includes one of our favourite concerts of the year. The Arts and Technology departments will be exhibiting the incredible work done by our students this year from 3:10pm until 5:45pm. The concert will begin at 6pm and will showcase all ensembles, our Y7 band class, many small groups and a selection of solo performances.

Victorian State School Spectacular

Arwen Holt took part in the Victorian State School Spectacular over the weekend with our Bass Teacher Mr Mazziotta. Arwen represented herself and Macleod College in a very professional manner and did the Macleod College Music Academy proud. 

2022 Rotary Eltham Festival

The 2022 Rotary Eltham Festival is looking for musicians aged 13 - 25 to play on their Busking Stage. The festival is on from 12pm to 3pm, Sunday 13 November, and if you would like to participate please email darryl.wallace2@bigpond.com and speak with Mr Griffiths.

Music Support Group
