Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 7!

Congratulations to all students, parents and siblings who came to join us for our Book Week parade last week. It was fantastic to see everyone who dressed up for the occasion, with a wide variety of book characters, superheros and historical figures.

On Wednesday we will be hosting Mass, commencing at 12:30 pm. Students who are participating in the running of mass will bring home their readings today. If you could assist your child in practicing these readings, we would be very appreciative.

This Thursday we will be celebrating our fathers at our Father's Day breakfast, commencing at 8am. All fathers, grandfathers and special men in our lives are invited to share a bacon and egg roll with our families. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase a gift (for $5) from our Fathers Day stall being held during the day on Thursday.

On Friday our Stage 3 students have been invited to attend the Dorothea Mackellar awards ceremony in Gunnedah. Mrs Darley and Mrs Watson will be accompanying our students to Gunnedah. A permission note will be sent home with students and there will be no cost for this excursion.

Library for K-6 will now be on Tuesday afternoons. If your child would like to borrow a book each week, please ensure that they bring a library bag and return any previously borrowed books before borrowing another.

Our kindergarten transition is continuing this week for students commencing kinder in 2023. If you know of anyone who is intending to enrol at Sacred Heart either in Kindergarten for 2023 or any other year group, please encourage them to contact me at school. 

Lastly, happy Father's Day to all of the fathers, grandfathers and special men in our children's live. We hope you enjoy your day on Sunday.
