Futures Expo

At the beginning of the term students in Years 10, 11 and 12 were able to explore future prospects at the Thornbury High Futures Expo. Students were able to speak to representatives from Monash University, University of Melbourne, La Trobe University, RMIT, Kangan Institute, Melbourne Polytechnic, MAS Apprenticeships, Victoria Police, Australian Federal Police, Australian Defence Force, Richmond Institute, Carlton College of Sport, Box Hill Institute, NCAT, Collarts, and INLLEN.

This was a great opportunity for both students and the tertiary institutions to meet and discuss what is on offer for the future leaders, electricians, nurses, lawyers, artists, actors and environmentalists in our midst. It was excellent to see students engage with all the representatives and discuss options they didn’t even know existed. 

Thank you to all who participated and the students (but mainly the teachers) were grateful for the freebies available, we all have enough pens to last a lifetime.
