STEAM Centre

The building is taking shape before our eyes. Local MP Kat Theophanous, who advocated so strongly to secure funding for this project, visited the site yesterday with Bec Yule, our School Council President and a group of passionate STEAM students who are eagerly awaiting its completion. Please see the THS Redevelopment Group item for photos.

Futures Expo

The Futures Expo is a very big day/evening in the Thornbury calendar and we had a terrific turnout for the evening’s activities, which are designed to support both students and their families in making the best subject, pathways and careers decisions. This was followed by a day of individual course counselling appointments for Years 9 and 10 students.

Snow Camp/Central Australia Trip

It was fantastic to see 45 students participate in a very successful 3-day snow camp, one of those events that was planned but had to be cancelled in 2021. In the last week of this term 40 students will head off on a week-long Central Australia trip which I’m sure will be a 2022 highlight for all involved.
