I would like to thank Brenton Rice for filling in for me last week and doing a stirling job of everything. Also, a big thank you to all the staff who assisted him over that week.

Last weekend

Friday,  students had a movie and popcorn night onsite. Those who were not interested were offered the opportunity to learn how to make custard and sushi by Ms Barnden.

Saturday, students went to Eaton and Bunbury for the morning for some shopping opportunities. The others who stayed back at the College went for a drive to the Harvey Dam, into town and to Harvey Cheese.

Saturday evening students and staff were treated to a delicious dinner of steak and garlic sauce, before everyone headed off to Ten Pin Bowling in Bunbury for a night of fun. Henry Pratley was the highest scorer for the evening,  closely followed by Roy Slater.

Sunday morning students had the opportunity to go for a swim at the South West Sports Centre in Bunbury, whilst others spent time at equine.

Monday night was busy with netball, football training in town and Country Week training.

Tuesday was a quiet night here onsite as all the Year 11 students were up at Muresk / Dowerin for the evening, which really changed the dynamics in the Residence from all reports.

Wednesday evening Mr Jones ran indoor hockey in the gym after prep and once again it was a good turnout.  Students competing and those who were watching enjoy these activities and look forward to each week.

The College netball team once again had a win over the opposition 42-22 in another great team effort. Well done girls.

Country Week

This Sunday the College is off to Country Week in Perth for a week-long sporting festival. This is always a wonderful event where students and staff get to mix in a less formal environment living and working together.

We ask that all the students attending continue to use correct hygiene practices.  With lots of hand washing and covering mouths when coughing or sneezing.   We have seen quite a bit of illness in the past few weeks and wouldn’t like for students to be required to return home in such an enjoyable week.

Tuesday the 6th of September

We have Bunbury Police attending the College to speak with our Year 12s about the upcoming leavers events in the district. We try to educate the students each year so they are aware of what to expect.

We also have Jonno our Chaplain, who will take the opportunity to speak about the great work that the Red Frogs crew do at leavers. He will explain how students are able to access some assistance if needed or to just drop in and have a chat with this amazing group of volunteers.
