Colour Fun Run and Funky Monkey Disco

Hi Parents and Guardians, 

Mackellar Primary School would like to formally announce that we have the total of the funds raised for the Colour Run For Fun. We raised a record amount for our school with a total of $8,431.85. All students should have received their relevant prizes and deducting those costs from our total leaves us with$4,721.84. We would like to thank our Mackellar Family and the wider community as this amount wouldn't have been possible without the fundraising that each family participated in. 

Due to such a successful event we have decided to run a FREE Halloween inspired disco evening for all of our Mackellar students on Friday 21st of October 2022.

We will be running two sessions for our students to enjoy, so please encourage your child to come dressed in their Halloween costumes.

Session 1 - Prep-Grade 3 at 3:45 - 5:00pm

Session 2 - Grade 4-6: 5:15 - 6:30pm

The permission forms will need to be completed via Xuno. If you have any further queries about the permission slips please see the office. The DJ will be using strobe lighting and smoke machines, so please be sure to let us know if this presents as a concern, as we will work with you to see how we can accommodate this.

Grade Prep- Grade 3 drop off and pick up:

Can we ask that all students are picked up promptly at 3:30pm from their classroom. Grade Prep-Grade 3 students will then have 15 minutes to put on their Halloween costumes or party clothes in preparation for a 3:45 sign in at the school office. 

Their disco session will finish at 5:00pm. Parents/guardians can pick up their child/ren at this time from the Gym Doors.

Grade 4-Grade 6 drop off and pick up:

Can we ask that all students are picked up promptly at 3:30pm from their classroom. Grade 4 - 6 students will go home and return to school at 5:15pm wearing their Halloween costumes or party clothes. Parents or Guardians can you please bring your child to the front office to sign them

Their disco session will finish at 6:30pm. Parents/guardians can pick up their child/ren at this time from the Gym Doors.

SunSquirt kiosks

I would like to congratulate our Junior School Council Leaders and Grade 6 Leaders for successfully executing the implementation of our 3 new SunSquirt Kiosks which will be located around our school in the coming weeks. Our student leaders have worked with our wider school community to hear the voices of their peers, parents and wider families so everyone has the opportunity to shape Mackellar.  Please read Simon McGlades Principals Report for information re sensitive skin and allergies.
