MR G’S HIGHLIGHTS! WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING AT SPS?

Wow, I cannot believe that it is the end of Term 3 already. It has been an amazing term that has been jam packed with an enormous amount of fabulous events and learning opportunities for all of our students. Since our last newsletter, the Year 2’s had their “Bricks for Kids” incursion where they had the chance to build a fully operational windmill out of Lego, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. We had approximately 50 Year 4-6 students represent SPS at District Athletics last Wednesday and they all did a tremendous job. Well done to everyone who participated. Special congratulations to the students who made it through to Divisional Athletics that will be at the beginning of Term 4. The Foundation students also had their “Responsible Pet Ownership” incursion last Thursday, which was super exciting. All of the foundation students loved the experience and learnt a lot.

Tomorrow is one of my favourite days of the year…Footy Day. I am hoping that the weather is kind and that we can complete our whole school footy parade past the local shops. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone supporting their teams, especially all the Essendon supporters, GO THE BOMBERS!!! We also have our Footy Day Meal Deal tomorrow. Thank you to our FOSP team for all the work you have done throughout the term it is very much appreciated.

Finally I would like to wish all of our students, families and staff a safe and happy holiday break. I hope everyone gets the chance to relax and spend some quality time with their friends and families. Look after yourselves and we will see you all back for a wonderful Term 4.

HATS

Just a reminder that all students need to be wearing a sun smart hat each and every day in Term 4. Thank you for your continued support with this.
